Very Big World Entertainment is thrilled to share that we are adapting Emily Windsnap, Liz Kessler’s beloved New York Times Bestselling book series, for the screen! WINDSNAP is a thrilling fantasy adventure live-action series following 16-year-old Emily, a teen girl who discovers she is half-mermaid. Melody Cooper (Power Book IV: Force, Law, and Order: SVU) is attached to write the series pilot with Bob Higgins /Trustbridge Entertainment, a company known for championing exceptional published works, engaged in development, and attached as an executive producer.

Melody Cooper is an acclaimed playwright, screenwriter, and director whose work spans television, film, and stage. Her television credits include writing for Law & Order: SVU and Power Book IV: Force, where she also served as a co-producer. Melody also adapted the fantasy novel "Beasts of Prey" into a feature film for Netflix. In 2025, Melody was selected as a Rideback Rise Fellow, a prestigious accelerator program dedicated to advancing racial equity in mainstream entertainment by championing creators of color. In 2024, she was a Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Resident. She was a 2021 Sundance Episodic Lab Fellow and a recipient of the Adobe Women at Sundance Fellowship. She also writes comic books, including OMNI, and has contributed to DC’s Milestones of History.

We have optioned an incredible script by a super talented writer, Morgan Dameron, Writer/ Director of the award winning Different Flowers starring and produced by Emmy Award-winner Shelley Long. Fight For Your Right to Party! is a hilarious, whip smart genre bending twist on the teen prom film. The script is imaginative, funny and at times wonderfully scary, in the best way. Morgan beautifully captures the emotions and relationships, the rebellion and life struggles of these mid-western teens, especially as the high point of their senior year is threatened.

At Netflix, Domnick led franchise development, where she expanded the success of the streamer’s hit show Stranger Things, by collaborating with the Duffer brothers to launch global publishing and interactive programs for the franchise. She also developed cross-channel content for Netflix kids originals, Super Monsters and Free Rein. Prior to Netflix, Suzie worked at Warner Bros. where she oversaw the global launch of Harry Potter, and developed Supergirl into a lifestyle brand that went on to become a franchise property for WB.
